It's all about the music, dude! Sit down, relax and listen to some tunes.

on the importance of little arrows...

63.26.11.64

very funny John, but we all know what important work those little arrows do. Ever fly on an airplane John? Well, you know it's those little arrows that make an airplane wing "fly". You probably heard about the horizontal stabilizer jack-screw on the MD80...well, sure, it sounds impressive, anyone can understand that a malfunctioning "Horizontal Stabilizer Jack-Screw" can send a jet full of people corkscrewing to China at Mach I. But try telling them that it's little arrows wizzing past the wing that's keeping them up in the air in the first place. Yea. So don't go poking fun at serious science you know nothing about. Black Mamba indeed.

Somebody called my bluff today, and asked me what kind of wires I use in my system, and what my opinion was of brand X vs brand 007. I told him the truth--I can't hear one bit of difference among them--never have, never will. If it weren't for the sexy names and colors and braidings I'd just use whatever comes in the box with my jap receiver. I have faith in marketing John E. If it costs enough, and comes in a nice jewlery box--it has to be good. If it's difficult to work with, and only comes in a hideous lime green and purple stripes, and has a nasty, toe-stubbing box attached at one end, it has to be really really good. Do they take me for a fool?

I loved that bit about the pipe bender John. You do have the gift. What is it about the truth that's so funny?
