Obviously my writing poorly represents my intents. The "You're All Wrong" posting was in jest, believe it or not. This group posts really funny stuff and I see lots of jibing and poking fun. I thought by now you all would think I was kidding but it was taken seriously. I don't see many flames on the Lane so I just didn't expect it would be taken that way. Reading my posting "naked" does look mean-spirited, so I appologise.

MY SINCERE APPOLOGIES! I intended to use humor and at the same time to be a little outrageous in my post because the subject of conductors and performances is very near and dear to the hearts of many here. I certainly would not have meant to be angry or insulting. I think if you knew me and talked to me in person you would see that my body language is not aggressive.

I am very passionate about music and have plenty of strong opinions but I am not one of those people that want to prosteltyze others to my way of thinking. Instead I was trying, in a silly way, to get a debate on tempi and recording quality, and other ideas. There is a lot of experience on this Lane that I was hoping to learn from. If I post a position and I am soundly shown the error of my thinking then I LEARN! Learning is better than s__ to me. I learned a lot from Zander. I hoped to get some reaction to his ideas here but I got a very negative reaction. His ideas are so radical I thought it would be great to hear the counterpoint. So I kept trying. Like I said before, I will stop. If anyone reading this knows of a forum or source of debate on the subject, please advise. Thanks.

To Rob; I appologise to you personally for offenses real and imagined. I liked jibing you about Solti, for example, even though I don't actually like him much. I meant no harm. I tease friends and I thought of you in that way. sorry again.
