hi Rob,
understand?? i have been wondering for years what the heck went wrong with classical music. While the reasons stated here surely shed light on the problem, have you noticed that jazz seems to be headed the same way, and some of the new blues guys are technically proficient, but not very bluesy? Perhaps i am just getting old, and cranky.
