Home Music Lane

It's all about the music, dude! Sit down, relax and listen to some tunes.

I won't be too sure.....

Rod, I already have Beethoven 2 and 5, the first with LSO/Alfred Scholz and the fifth with RSO Ljubljana/Nanut and a Beethoven 3 with Philharmonia Slavonica/Henry Adolph. Mozart 35 and 41 with the RPO/Enrique Batiz and Mozart 36 and 39 with the Mozart Festival Orchestra under Alfred Scholz again and in my Classical Newbies Days, they almost killed my love for Beethoven and the great and unforgettable Wolf Mozart.

Those discs didn't make me very happy. For a good Beethoven 5 you should try the great stereo release of Wiener Philharmoniker/Carlos Kleiber on the Deutsche Grammophon label, it makes you long for that mono Furtwangler, really and before you know it, you start cross-dressing while listening to Tchaikovsky and you can join the ANMAM.
