Home Music Lane

It's all about the music, dude! Sit down, relax and listen to some tunes.

When I first started listening seriously to Jazz, Leonard Feather's (I've heard another Jazz critic call him "featherhead") "Encyclopedia of Jazz" and Esquire's "World of Jazz" helped me quite a bit. There are newer books from some British Jazz critics. I have to go teach the kiddies all about Willie Shakespeare now, but I'll try to get back into my "library" and give you some more titles...hey, what can I say? I'm supposed to teach literature, wouldn't my book collection have a few (4 shelves full) jazz books, since it's my No. 1 love? If only I wasn't so old and could remember what I read!
