It's rather strange most countries have an alternative spelling, the Germans talk about Dmitry Schostakowitsch for instance, which is better depicting his initials as often used as a motive in his music (DSCH), but we always seem to prefer the Anglo-American spelling for those composers with cyrillic names, although I wouldn't mind introducing you to Pjotr Iljitsj Tjaikovski, Sjostakovitsj or Moessorgski.Rob
