Actually, I'm from Home Theater, NJ, and proud of it. I've been trying to deny my hometown roots for too long.Tastes are a funny thing. I picked up the aforementioned CD set from a great store in Boston last summer while on vacation. I had listened to it a couple of times, but since it does consist of 78's transcribed, the sound quality is a mix of the worst of digital and the worst of analog, with little of the best of either coming through.
I *was* thinking about a lottery here on the Lane so the set could find a new home; I decided to spin it one more time.
Lo & behold, I heard music! So now I'm off in search of more of this label, Pearl. It specializes in historical reissues on CD.
