Dear Rod,How refreshing to hear from someone who holds English composers in high regard. Only today I was listening to one of Mo' Ravel of Scunthorpe's masterpiece: Bolero (it was his Birthday not long ago). I think the world of classical music owes a great debt to the inspiration of English composers like Mo', don't you?
Perhaps you could clear up some confusion for me. Someone once rold me that Anton Dvorak was in fact an English composer. I had to laugh. Surely this is not true? I mean, the name does sound frightfully foreign doesn't it?
Thankyou in advance for your wisdom in this matter.
-Joe.
