Well, I made up my mind to give this Beethoven guy another try, after readin' the posts 'bout that Mutter not being passionate'n'all, so I asked the proprietor of a store for recommendations.
Now this fella looked me straight in the eye, and lisped, "Sir, this recently issued CD set of Beethoven's featuring the Busch Quartet is absolutely the best you can buy." Well, y'knaw, I thought "Well, la-dee-frigging-da, how thpethial, ya little Commie," but thems types is sposed to know their music as good as their interior decoratin', so I plopped down my cash, and backed carefully out that thar door.
I got home and put it the first CD in the rig. I was 'specting some hot sounding tunes from the "best you can buy", but when I heard the sound, I damn near dropped the Miller can off my belly.
This sucker was real scratchy, hissy, and full of pops. Well, I got to figurin' that it was probably just a dee-fective disk, so I put in the second CD.
SUMBITCH, all of 'em are like that! There's sumptin not right here. I mean, my auto-matic subwoofer don't even TURN ON, even if I crank it up the whole way. What the hell? The best I can buy?
Is this somebody's idea of funnin' wit me, or what?
