Home Music Lane

It's all about the music, dude! Sit down, relax and listen to some tunes.

Some time ago I posted about the Weather Channel's music and the fact that I could just sit and listen to the local forcast. At the time I made a statement to the effect that most of it was smooth jazz or what I called "jazz lite". Well after the last few days, I stand corrected. I started hearing some really good stuff. So just a few minutes ago, I checked weather.com again. I had tried to find a playlist as someone suggested earlier, but did not find one. I did this time. For March they are playing a lot of Charie Parker, some Miles, Pat Methany, Frank Morgan and Thelonious Monk. Whoever is programing the music there these days, should get a raise! Maybe they will start taking requests for some of Furtwangler's Beethoven, or perhaps save classical music for the equivelent of VH1, "The Storm Channel" (adult oriented weather):-)

Even with the rain, I'll be home again this weekend. Tomorrow's trip was cancelled due water levels (still not enough for some areas) and the fact that there is a police manhunt for a triple murderer in the area we were planning on. Drowning is one thing, getting shot in the cross-fire is another. Oh well, March Madness is about to get into full swing and I have to get an early start on my brackets for the NCAA tournament. (For entertainment purposes only, of course.)
