Thanks for taking the topic seriously and understanding my intentions. I don't have access to the depth of catalogue that would allow me to do blind testing of the gender of the artist. That's part of the reason I posted the thought, hoping that those with more experience could elucidate.I understand it's a somewhat delicate topic, and is quite complex. I find myself (for whatever reason) prefering male violinists & pianists, but then again, the voices of Alison Krauss & Nancy Griffith et al make me cry with their beauty. It's a puzzle.
