I recall reading in a publication, several pre-PC years ago, of a theory that female classical virtuosoes as a whole play quite differently than their male counterparts. I believe the focus was on violinists and pianists, and that the female of the species, though technically able to play the piece, GENERALLY was unable to convey the spirit and emotion of their male contemporaries. Personally though I may agree with this thesis in reference to Classical music, I find it not to be the case with Modern tunes.I ask your thoughts, not to be incendiary, rather to bring up a hopefully interesting topic.
