Yesterday I received 4 cd's from Cadence, I support them as they are the only independant jazz magazine that I know, the reviews are unbiased and they review even obscure labels like Zephir from the UK, anyway on there recommendation I ordered 4 Zephir CD's
Alan Barnes and Brian Lemon "yesterdays"
Tony Coe and Alan barnes "days of wine and roses"
Warren Vache "shine"
Warren Vache and Brian Lemon "an affair to remember.
What can I say, 4 masterpieces, these Englih guys are stupendous jazz masters, they play swing music, with a very rare sophistication, and to top it the recordings are some of the most natural I have ever heard,
Alan Barnes and Warren Vache are right there, in front of me, in my lounge
Zephir as managed to do recording that audiophile specialist labels, only dream of. Give them a try, if your audio system is good, you will hear the TRUTH
