And if you also enjoy Celtic music mixed with rock elements (for example, in the vein of the very well known band Clannad), I can recommend these also great Celtic Rock bands:- MOSTLY AUTUMN. Mostly Autumn is surely one of the best debut bands of the late 90´s. Their magic music reminds a synthesis of Pink Floyd with Celtic Rock, with great male & female vocals, brilliant guitar work (very very like David Gilmour), dreaming violin interplays and flutes, intense and melancholic choir, stunning pipe solos and keyboards. “For All We Shared†and “The Spirit Of Autumn Past†are both masterpieces IMO. Highly recommended for all Pink Floyd fans, all Celtic music aficionados, and everyone else who likes dreamland and passionate music.
- IONA. This is another great Celtic Rock band of the 90´s. Their music features traditional and electronic instruments, along with the ethereal vocals by Joanne Hogg, incredible extended jams and solos, tight production, deep spiritual and historically based lyrics, and guest appearances by Robert Fripp and the lead singer of Clannad. "The Book of Kells", "Beyond These Shores" and "Journey into the Morn" are excellent.
Regards,
Demetrio.
