For Barber, I have a favorite CD.I'm at work and don't have it at hand so the title of the album escapes me. "Barber - Choral Works" perhaps...... performed by the Cambridge Choir.
Barber loved poetry and set a number of poems by famous authors to music. This is sumptuous choral (piano accompanist) music ranging from deep-dark sombre poems such as "The Twelveth Night" to cheery nonesensical ones like "The Monk and His Cat". I treasure this album. (the "Agnes Dei" a cappella version is included)
It's on the Gamut Label, so shouldn't be difficult to locate the title.
