Thanks for all the comments and the threads on Don Juan's Daughter, which I have not listened to for years and will re-visit.I have Mingus spinning and the love of jazz is clearly infused throughout many of her songs. As for the voice, one has to wonder what smoking, I believe in one interview she professed to 1 to 1-1/2 packs a day, have done to her beautiful vocal range? I will not go on safari for the new release.
