I have an early CD release of that first album and the original release on vinyl. I recently did a test after I had isolated my humblest of humble TT's (a low end 15 year old Kendwood semi automatic belt drive unit) where I compared the CD to the origianl vinyl-and the vinyl won-not by a huge margin but it did win over the CD. And the CDP was a nearly 2 month old Denon DCM 370 w/ HDCD and Burr Brown Dacs (and it was broken in too).The TT, BTW, had a cheap no name audio Technica cart on it too. Go figure.
