I agree with Rob on LVB. When I listen to his Piano Sonatas sequentially from the 1st to the last, I feel like the story of his life is being told. His early sonatas are young and fresh, middle ones complex and intense although he wrote most beautiful pieces when he relaxed, and the last ones are written by a Zen master.Sorry for the stereotyping...
