In other words, can music serve for a better society? Better society of what? A society that cares others' feeling and well-being.
If the above question is too broad to be discussed, how about your own experience: listening music helps to deal with your own life and your relationship with others? Or music is just for pure enjoyment and to ease off emotion?
Whenever I try to listen Beethoven's music, I always think about his ego-centric personality and hot temper, and wonder how the same person can make that beautiful music. For a composer, then, can I say that music is one thing and his personality is another? And the same is true for a listener? Anyone has experienced a kind of spiritual transformation because of listening a music?
Actually, the second question is directly related to the first one, for whcih I always like to ask.
