Steve, You nailed it perfectly. RR is, as some here would say, a place for the kids to hang out to remember and post about how many bong hits they managed to get in during the 54th twenty minute guitar solo from that kick ass bad dude jammin' with Ozzie. We seem to have been inundated here lately, with far too many "greatest solos by a bassist who can pick his nose at the same time" type of nonsense. The direction that our Lane has always followed, gladly left those style of posts to Rave Recordings. Up until recently, the two sites have co-existed with each focusing on different musical genres. It has been quite a comfortable arrangement, two sites that each concentrated on their own styles, and everyone seemingly content with that. I haven't the slightest idea why there's this new rush to turn the Lane into "Greatest Riffs, The Sequel," but I'm quite confident we'll end up looking back on it as just a minor blip on the screen.
