In Reply to: Picking up on Dave the Boatman's "best of" post, what are the "WORST" live performances you've seen? posted by Audiophilander on February 20, 2000 at 09:58:26:
R.E.M. - They stunk up the Fox theatre something awful.Cheap Trick - must have been about 5 million db spl @ 100 metres. Awful.
Iron Maiden - went because I had a free ticket. Left after 2 songs. Bad, Bad, Bad.
Steely Dan - god this concert sucked. I love the Dan but this live show could put you to sleep faster than a Lawrence Welk show.
Eddie Murphy - imagine a crowd at a symphony and he comes out and cusses nonstop for 45 minutes offending every race, religion, creed, etc...everyone was looking at each other with embarassed looks, he was getting booed very loudly by the end, which took way to long to happen, and he fed off of the negative audience vibe. This was absolutely the worst live professional performance I have ever seen.
