It's all about the music, dude! Sit down, relax and listen to some tunes.

Bruckner and others conducted by Eduard van Beinum

62.108.1.72

Bringing the subject up again, for those of you Brucknerians who just like me still don't have his recording of Bruckner 9 on Philips, that former Dutch label who refuses to release those major recordings worldwide as well in the home country of the orchestra and conductor, CDNow doesn't have it on stock now, but I've got good hope to receive this CD, only $12.99!!!

Furthermore, the Bruckner 7 I told you about has indeed been released and should be available on a four disc set from Music and Arts, CD 1054 'The Artistry of Eduard van Beinum'.

It includes a wartime Reger's Ballet suite and Mozart variations. The technicians furthermore refined the sound of 'Le Sacre du Printemps', 'Symphonie Fantastique' and Bartok's 'Concerto for orchestra' which Decca recordings I already have on various labels, so let's hope it's really a great remaster, not destroying the atmosphere like Dutton Laboratories did, trashing the higher frequencies and remixing the balance, which mistakes weren't made by French Lys.

Also included are Mozart's pianoconcerto 24 with Kathleen Long and 'Four sea interludes' and 'Passacaglia' from Britten's 'Peter Grimes'.
