Paolo Fresu is fine. In fact newer recordings are fine.

Freddie Hubbard, Lee Morgan and Jackie Maclean on Blue Note is occasionally shrill and brittle.

I've found the Prestige Miles worse than the CBS ones in terms of the shrillness.
