The projections on Magic Flute worked well.
The staging of Tito was stark but the singing was so good one forgot that.Neither production is Eurotrash.
I'm now looking at the latest "Carmen" BD (Marc Piollet - Gran Teatre del Liceu) which is a bit Eurotrash + the lead singer in the role, Beatrice Uria-Monzon, although effectively vampish and in good voice, does look a bit old to be convincing. Apologies if that sounds harsh (which it is) but there are so many voluptuous singers around these days we have been spoiled for choice, particularly in video. I'm also unimpressed with Erwin Schrott as Escamillo in his first scene. I'll see how he develops.
