Parts two and three of A Love Supreme are beautifully realized Coltrane vehicles for that period and sheer poetry to these sensibilites. And not to be overlooked is McCoy Tyner's passionate playing on the date. So, too, for his tenor sax playing, is Out of This World (written by Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer) from an earlier released self-titled Impulse album. Personally, I prefer Cannonball's playing on KOB.
