OK, now the opposite. Which music irritates you most so much you avoid it like the plague.

My wife (sadly) has a quick response to that question - any coloratura soprano demonstrating her vocal acrobatics in opera. Sad because I love it.

For me the music to avoid is most of the mindless (to me) thump thump thump pop music. But there is some classical music I've not come to terms with yet either and Boulez is high up on the list.

We, very fortunately, all have different tastes. But at a music level there are already so many beautiful works I can enjoy, I'm reluctant to spend time on the likes of Boulez etc. But never say never!
