on the apparently essential task of promoting classical music and our national Classical FM network as well. Hence the annual Classic 100 Symphonies, concertos, and freaking whatever log-in and vote fest. Held durin *****g Springgggg - hatchhoooo! And, followed by the CD box set, and on, and on, and on!Then and also during Springgggg! And on our national obsession with one long handicap horse race called the Melbourne Cup, one of the richest of those in the world. Held on the first Tuesday of November, which this year was the first day as well. Very close this year.
The same national broadcasting body the ABC has a large Sports organisation as well, who have kindly come up with a race call recording called "The Classic 100 Invitational."
Nota Bene (NB) HIP-haters here will be horrified to find that much of the selections used that date from pre 1800 may be original instrument versions, some even recorded in Australia, and even worse not even one conducted by Broono Vaulter.
The clip is located at Classic FM's website and has been euphemised into 'The Classic Race Call', confirming that it IS a piss take on the annual Classic 100 blah blah fest.
But even such folk's limited capacity for enjoying life might just manage to encompass this race-call, and might even laugh.
Recommended but way too short IMO.
Warmest
