But I had a similar experience night before last with a Mercury CD I'd forgotten I had: Dorati's Minneapolis recording that included Copland's Four Dance Episodes from "Rodeo" and Bloch's Sinfonia Breve - wonderful rediscoveries, the Copland from a performance/sonic point of view (more than 50 years old!), and the Bloch for engineering and performance, as well as the unjust neglect of the music itself. (The disc also contains Gershwin's "American in Paris" and Schuller's "Studies on Themes by Paul Klee", which I didn't listen to.)
