I haven't gotten a J.C. Bach disc for a long time, but I'm even more excited to read from your post that this recording was made with just two omni-directional microphones. Right on! I might even put up with some vibratoless HIP playing to hear it! :-)

BTW, I'm sure you're familiar with the story of the person who asked JC to explain the stylistic difference between his own music and that of his brother, CPE. JC analyzed it this way: "Ah yes - well, you see, Carl lives in order to compose, whereas I compose in order to live!"
