A person I know, a veteran classical musician and reviewer, has just spoken on the local classical radio station. He made a radio programme on Hatto last year, after he was alerted to the artist from the initial review in 'Gramophone'. He actually returned to the UK and interviewed both Hatto and her husband. Apparently, he asked to see the recording venue for the concertos, which had been a cinema in the pianist's district. This request was declined, as was the request to visit her home in order to see her piano. He confessed this double refusal appeared puzzling at the time...
