These days it seems that the best piano trio are coming from
Northern/Easter Europe, I can recomnendMarcin Wasilewski "Trio"
Tord Gustavsen "The grounds" or "Changing places"
Bobo Stenson.
And then there is the wonderful Vassilis Tsabropoulos.
All the above are recording on ECM, which also equal great sound.
