Wow, what memories this brings back! Not of the concert - I wasn't there - but the trip to A.C. with Janet and friends and listening to Judy Collins sing "Both Sides Now" over WFIL (Philadelphia) on the way back to Baltimore. Woodstock I knew about in advance but didn't go - shame on me for missing a major boomer event. Woodstock happened two weeks after the A.C. concert (August 1-3). I did manage to show for that Beach Boys concert near the Washington Monument, May 1st, 1971. Some there hoped it would turn it into another Woodstock, '69. Of course, that didn't happen.
