Your posting is a marvel, as usual, but it belongs to same category of the «Rett & Scarlet @ newby acres», only problem is... Life!
It reminded me a lot of stories, mostly painfull.
The SO is just like that. She admits it!
She gets pleasure throwing things away, at least that's what she says.
I'm writing this from my castle, the listening room, while listening to Schuberts D.899 & 935 and Chopin's preludes, shhh, let me close the door!
Anyway, I must be very PC, mainly at home. There's a non-agression pact running. If I brake it bad memories can become reality :-)
After all, there are some seven loudspeakers in the house (yes, seven, with NO HT stuff), an integrated amp under the bed (hope she still doesn't know about), not to mention four portable radios (yes, there's music in -EVERY- division), portable cdps, fixed cdps, kilometers of speaker cable, boxes with plugs and interconnects, car radios and car speakers (including a subwoofer), etc, etc...
