I'm in much the same space as you are, John. My old records are memories to me. I would just as soon toss out my photo albums. I sifted through my record pile again the other day and only came up with a few I could part with. I'm afraid I'm stuck with the rest of them; the Mink Deville album that only has one song on it that I play, but the song reminds me of bringing my daughter to see "The Pricess Bride". Or my ancient copy of Santana 3 with the scratches my brother put on it at a stoned party, just after we saw Dylan & The Band in concert, with all my friends and I in the fifth row. And lots of other stuff that invokes a mood or memory from a long time ago. Can't sell em'. Their sum total is part of me.Christ John, you've made me teary-eyed. Back to the Vinyl Asylum. Music is too personal.
