I have a couple of American Indian music but one is heavily modernized (like pop). What I'd like to hear is authentic Indian music (but no dance music), either vocal or instrument.
ps. Have you read the book "Neither Dog Nor Wolfe"? I had read this book several years ago so i forgot the author's name. It is about American Indian's life, and of course it is despairing and sad stroy, but it also gives you the courage to live rightly somehow. Check your library.
