Hi SonicThat does happen occasionally but if you inspect the LP carefully before buying, it's actually a pretty rare ocurrance. I have found hundreds of LPs that, even though they're opened, they've never been played at all, or, if they have, it's been once. This can be especially true of boxed sets. I find box sets all the time that the first album has been obviously removed from the sleeve but the others in the set were never even touched. My theory is that these are given as gifts to people that really don't want them. They play one side of the first LP and just close the box up and forget about them. There's always the risk of getting a good looking Lp that's been damaged by poor equipment, but the risk (1$) is pretty minimal.
