Yeah, that's great music and so is almost all of his vocal material and I like the opera buffo, comic operas he wrote, but I can't change opinion on his symphonies, I just can't and I tried it a dozen times, but a dozen times even the vinyl didn't make it to an end. I only experienced one great moment when I spinned David Oistrakh playing the 4th violinconcerto and I thought it was just great!Don Giovanni predicts what Wagner could do with the genre.....
I just love those composers who only wrote 9 great symphonies instead of 300 mediocre ones:-))))
