If I stick around here too long I don't get any work done, either at work, or at home. I'm ok in that my job description is pretty nebulous, I can get involved in "anything" that will help my department work smarter more productive, more efficient, any new equipment, new procedures, new methods, etc... anything at all, my boss tells me - and he doesn't look over my shoulder at all... but every so often he'll say: "Mike, your performance review is due... why don't you write up a couple of pages for me about what you've accomplished this past year" Holy S**T!!!.... so I've gotta be careful about hanging out here too often. I put a lot of extra hours in here though, so they're way ahead of the game. You can probably guess the repercussions if I neglect my responsibilities at home, right? Besides which, no... I haven't picked up anything really new worth mentioning... except - a Christmas gift of the Bill Frissell, Burt Bacharach, Elvis Costello CD "The Sweetest Punch". I hate to knock something that my daughter gave me, I'm TRYING to like this CD, but it's killing me. Who said this is jazz? Is it supposed to be jazz? If not jazz, well what then?? What a mish mosh of mush! But I'm trying to like it.

Don't worry, once my budget has recovered from the holidays, I'll be back with some positive comments again.
