Hey, I enjoy listening to Brahms, Schumann, and Chopin. Why, I just picked up a score to Chopin's concertos at B&N last week, ordered Martha Argerich playing Chopin and Liszt with my CDNow GC, and brought the Brahms piano trios (Beaux Arts on Phillips) to work to play in my office this morning. All I said was that a classical newbie who likes Mozart and Haydn would probably have less trouble listening to Brahms and Chopin than they would with Wagner and Mahler.
And Grand Phunk ROOLZZ, DUDE!!!
(Oh, and the bad news is that my 6 & 8 yo daughters are saving their allowances to buy a CD boombox and some Britney Spears CDs. Seems like we could be in for some rough times ahead :-)
