Home Music Lane

It's all about the music, dude! Sit down, relax and listen to some tunes.

Hey ssshhht!

Mozart and Haydn won't surprise you with grotesque emotions in their symphonies, writing them was a skill and work, not a necessary thing like Wagner, Mahler and perhaps Tchaikovsky felt the urge to compose those particular works for purely artistic reasons. Haydn and Mozart is perfect muzak, that is music to spin in a restaurant, not wanting to disturb converstations with sudden orchestral outbursts filled with pain, terror or pure joy. Mozart and Haydn are composers for the very reasonable people, who listen more to structure and the original idea than what the music will provoke in their minds I think, when you take the demarcation line between classicisme and romanticism and of course, you were a bit confused after hearing Mahler, Wagner and Tchaikovsky, that's what everyone has after hearing highly romantic music, depicting feelings more than a happy rhythm with some happy instruments saying something happy I'm not very interested in, with the romantics you meet the dark side of mankind and those composers.

Rob, taking cover.
