but I always kind of felt like the death of SKA also meant the death of reggae, - I was just starting my band and we were more influenced by, and were listening more to bands like the Fall, Pixies, Husker Du, Squirrel Bait, They Might be Giants, The Jesus and Mary Chain, etc. We were pretty wound up about Lynton Kwesi Johnson and Black Uhuru. UB40 had already started their "pop run," and were getting a lot of disdain from our crowd...is this the real me, or a mere facsimile?
