Let's see...the USPS has wasted how much money sponsoring a cycling team? They've wasted how much money servicing the hard-on they apparently have for cross-promoting children's movies? They've wasted how much money doing things like building and entering floats in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade? They've wasted how much money by leveraging their monopoly on first-class mail delivery to nationally advertise in print, TV, and radio, directly against private sector carriers for the classes of mail they carry, which necessitated a lawsuit to stop? They've wasted how much money by failing to modernize and improve efficiency? They've wasted how much money because of ineptness, and lack of oversight and accountability? Yeah, the 41¢ to mail a letter may not be too bad to you, but how bad is it to a small business, or a non-profit organization, or a charity, considering the other classes of mail they also have to use, and which are scaled in relation to the first-class rate? An increase in the cost of shipping goods doesn't even begin to explain away any of this._________________
