Home Hip Pop Stop

Today's hip tunes. New music that isn't Classic Rock or Jazz!

Just a little.

Hi Dave

Finished my BHSc (Nutritional Medicine) late last year, moved to Sydney with my girlfriend, then got a job back up in Brisbane (New Farm) doing clinical research (of sorts), living out of a suitcase at my sister's place out in the sticks (culture shock!)... have been travelling to and from Sydney ever since. My girlfriend and I are moving back to Brisbane at the end of this month.

Thanks for the advice on renovation and the property market. Yeah, West End has big plans... it has changed over the eight years I lived there - it is losing some of its relaxed charm, and will continue to do so - but for now is still West End: a sort of a bohemian country town 15 minutes walk from the CBD. Unique. I would like to buy an older apartment there, renovate and live in it until West End changes significantly, then move on. By that stage I should have started and completed my Biostatistics Masters and will be able to work from a home office for the most part - convenient location will not be important. Thinking the hills around Brisbane or Northern NSW... lots to do to get to that point tho.

Frankly, in the near future I just want to get out and enjoy some music, theatre, film etc. with friends and get my home audio system sorted (currently non-functional!).

How are you finding Ferny Hills - is it on the way to Mt Glorious? I often drive there when I need a time out / dose of good ol' mother naature. How does it feel to be distanced form the Powerhouse? ;^)

Cheers
