It IS fun to rediscover music of your youth, isn't it? Fortunately, even though the 80s quickly became the dark ages of vinyl, there are some good sources.Cheap places include your local thrifts - Goodwill, Salvation Army - and the garage sales. Hit or miss there.
Better sources include GEMM and eBay. 'Course you have to know what you're looking for; neither really lend themselves to browsing because there's so much out there.
Acoustic Sounds, AudiophileUSA, and Craig Moer's Records-By-Mail have excellent quality used vinyl, but you will pay a bit of a premium for it. It's worth it, IME.
There are re-pressings too. They're available through the usual outlets - MusicDirect, Acoustic Sounds, Elusive Disc, Audiophile USA, etc.
Hope this all helps!
