How can Brahms say so much...

... with so few notes? The middle of the third movement of his 2nd Piano Concerto, where there's just a gentle tapping of the piano's keys, always countered by what seems to be a sigh of resignation from another note played higher on the scale. That part of the concerto speaks volumes to me, and I'm always amazed at how so little can pull out so much from within me.

Not important, it's just another one of my favorite moments with the music.
I think I'll go play it again.
