I mentioned it on the Old Board, not this Cul de Sac.I couldn't find the CD, then accidentally stumbled across Bruno Walter conducting Brahms 4th (Columbia SO) on vinyl. It's a stupendous interpretation, performance, and recording.
No I haven't heard the Kleiber 4th. I was interested in either that or the mono DG Jochum set, but was really holding out for the Bruno Walter recording, since I've been on my BRUNO ROOLZ! mission of late. It was worth holding out for - especially since it was on vinyl (and of course only cost a buck!).
