I still remember watching a piece of a composer whose name I fortunately forgot and the piece itself too, but they were breaking and snapping pieces of wood while watching the conductor and all looking deadly serious. I couldn't stop laughing. Boulez's music isn't to my taste either, as Zeff said, I'm hopelessly romantic or late romantic, but his music has more class. Not to mention Varese and although there are some worthwile recordings available from a local band, I still don't have them.BTW, recently heard the cello concerto of that Scandinavian guy, Einard ?, you recently raved. It was very nice.
