From Perotin to Prokofiev (and beyond), performed by Caruso to Khatia, it's all here.

The Dog

199.179.183.116

I don't know if there ever was a recording of it. It appeared in the mid 80s and was apparently so absurd that it made the nightly news. It was incredible. The was a shot of a happy dog sitting in front of an orchestra where a solist would stand. The conductor was leading the orchestra, and as if on cue, the dog barked. That was all we got to see of it. They then cut to a reporter interviewing the composer. The reporter was obviously incredulous. He asked the (so-called) composer
"Are you serious?". The composer, rather self righteously answered "I'm dead serious". My impression was that he was full of crap.

That's all I remember of the thing.
