Good thinking, perhaps you're right. Movies are being made about Beethoven and Mozart, completely Hollywollied of course, but I can't imagine a movie about Bruckner's live. It would take a great director and LOTS of his music not to make you doze in the couch. As SPL said, there are some jokes left and it seems he had a sense humour, indeed. But that sense of transcedence and intense spirituality, although he was a deeply religious man, always struck me, even more than in 'The Voice of God' J.S. Bach due to its more monumental style ( although Bach performed in a romantic manner can have the same thing) and I'm a rabid atheist.Rob
