I got the Abbados pre-asylum. The Solti was recommended in several places and I actually like it. I like the Levi too. But what do I know about Mahler? That's the point - it's the composer I am struggling with rather than the performances, like most folks here. Now I am wondering if I should pick a different 3rd?

I will be patient. I set aside listening time no matter what, and I include Mahler regularly. Like broccoli.
